New EdgeRank Score Breakdown

A lot has changed on Facebook since we’ve launched EdgeRank Checker. Facebook has combined the Top News and Most Recent news feeds into a single hybrid news feed, Timelines have been introduced for Personal Users, Insights received an overhaul, OpenGraph along with Spotify integrations were announced, and much more. During these changes, we’ve closely monitored EdgeRank Scores and how they’ve been impacted by these changes.

After careful consideration and monitoring, we’ve unveiled a modified EdgeRank Score Breakdown. We opted to change our scaling system, as opposed to modifying our existing algorithm in an effort to maintain consistent Scores for all of our users.

New Breakdown:

  • 0 – 10 is below average
  • 11 – 20 is average
  • 21 – 30 is above average
  • 31+ is excellent

We apologize for the inconvenience, however we believe it’s imperative that our users understand where they stand in relation to their peers. With the new changes, scores tended to be slightly higher, therefore slightly shifting our scale upwards.

Thank you for your understanding, and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask.
